1995 Eagle Lake Fairview Lake Colorado

This time we’ve made a short backpack in Colorado just outside the boundary of Holy Cross Wilderness.  Our route begins on the unpaved road past Woods Lake.  Our backpack route will follow Lime Creek until Eagle Lake for our first night’s camp. From there, we backpack further to Fairview Lake for a 2-night stay. Here we have time to explore further up canyon and also get a look at Strawberry Lake and the steep ridges between this lake and the heart of Holy Cross Wilderness.  We complete our route with a backpack from Fairview Lake back to the trailhead.
